Brandi Martin

Mrs. Brandi Ashby-Martin was born in Henderson, Kentucky. She is a graduate of Webster County High School, located in Dixon, Kentucky. Mrs. Ashby-Martin went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Master of Education in learning and behavior disorders from Murray State University. She taught in Kentucky and Alabama prior to Florida and holds certification in K-12 exceptional student education and middle grades mathematics.

Ms. Menard was born in Helena, Arkansas, but was raised in Columbus, Ga. She graduated from Columbus State University where she earned her Bachelor Degree in Special Education and later her Masters in Interrelated Special Education.

Brandin Shost

Mr. Shost is originally from New Hampshire, where he graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s degree in horticulture.  He continued at University of New Hampshire and earned his Master’s Degree in Forestry and began working for the U.S. Forest Service in the Allegheny National Forest in Warren, PA.  He returned to New Hampshire after four years and earned his teaching certification in K-12 special education with endorsements in learning disabilities and emotional/behavioral disorders.  Mr. Shost and his wife have completed two, 4000 mile cross-country bicycle trips. Their first ride was in 1995.  They fell in love with Wisconsin during their trip and moved there in 1997, where they spent the next ten years.  Mr. Shost was the director/coordinator at Maxville Alternative School in Durand, WI.   While in Wisconsin, Mr. Shost earned his Master’s Degree in Education from UW in learning disabilities.  Mr. Shost and his family moved to Freeport, Florida in 2007, where he and his wife began teaching in Walton County.  Mr. Shost is the Gifted teacher at Bay and Butler Elementary Schools and Emerald Coast Middle School.  He and his wife Deb have two sons, Dalton and Garrett.  Dalton is a junior attending Florida Poly University in Lakeland, FL. He is majoring in logistics and cyber security. Garrett is attending FSU majoring in physics.
